Arthur Maurice Richardson


Wife of William Charles Richardson.

Born in 1888, the fifty-first year of the reign of Queen Victoria, and died aged ninety-one in the twenty-eighth year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II  He has 5 direct descendants in the family.

Bio


Arthur Maurice Richardson was born on 30 June 1888, his father, William Charles Richardson, was 36 and his mother, Martha Ada was 39.
He was conscripted and went to India at the age of 18. He looked after horses for a wealthy family.
He went back to London to work.
Sgt A M Richardson was in the 1st County of London Yeomanry, stationed at Kentwood Farm, Cholsey, when he was granted a 2-day pass to go to London and married Gertrude Louisa Owen.
He served at Gallipoli (where he was hospitalised with jaundice) and then in Mesopotamia.
At the time he was demobbed in 1920 he was a Lieutenant in the 3rd Bn Norfolk Regiment, resident at 103 Melody Road, Wandsworth Common.
They had four children in 10 years. He died on 7 January 1980 in Nutfield, Surrey, at the age of 91
