Son of Francis ( Frank) Hart Vicesimus Guinness and Catherine Marian Richardson. .

Born in 1846, the ninth year of the reign of Queen Victoria, and died aged sixty-seven in the third year of the reign of King George V

Biography


Sir Arthur Robert Guinness was born on January 11, 1846, in India, his father, Francis (Frank) Vicemus Hart Guinness, was 26 and his mother, Catherine Richardson, was 26. He arrived in NZ Tory in 1855. He married Elizabeth Westbrook on December 21, 1878, in Greymouth, West Coast, New Zealand. He died on June 10, 1913, in Greymouth, West Coast, New Zealand, at the age of 67, and was buried in Westland, West Coast, New Zealand.

NZ Speaker of the House

Sir Arthur Robert Guinness, son of Frank Guinness, who arrived at Lyttelton by the ship Tory in August 1852. He was educated at Christ's College, Christchurch 1854–1859 (being no. 31 on the list). He received his legal education from Edward Harston and then from Garrick and Cowlishaw, before being admitted to the bar in 1867. ] He then practised as a barrister and solicitor in Greymouth,
