Frank Hart Guinness III was born in Dunedin New Zealand 1877 in New Zealand, his father, Frank Hart Guinness Jun, was 26 and his mother, Jessie, was 20. He married Rosetta Elizabeth LARNER on 24 February 1904 in his hometown of Dunedin, He worked as a civil servant . He died on 28 February 1946 in Auckland at the age of 69
